As if we did not have to look forward to the Fair next week’s Geneva Motor Show, people with more exotic obsessive GTSpirit have obtained the first images of the latest masterpiece Koenigsegg advance on his debut, and AGERA seems just as powerful as its predecessors. Obviously Koenigsegg would not change a winning formula, then AGERA is more an evolution of CCXs predecessors, with a greenhouse similar and the same dimensions (169 cm long, 78.6 inches wide and 44.1 cm high) that the outgoing supercar.

The new front and rear ditch some of the angularity aging previous iterations, and the new LED headlights and the hood are much more elegant. Nestled in the carbon fiber chassis and aluminum honeycomb is the same 4.7-liter V8 as the CCX, but production increased to 910 horsepower and 811 lb.-ft. of torque, allowing 2832 pounds AGERA to hit 62 mph in 3.1 seconds and top over 242 mph. And as Koenigsegg learned over the last 10 years, these are small things. In addition to the sequential gearbox and custom carbon ceramic brakes, the exhaust is entirely made of Inconel, fuel tanks are mounted on each side to reduce the weight and balance and fiber carbon and kevlar bodywork, combined with the tray base plate, allowing the AGERA to produce 661 pounds of support to 155 mph. Oh, and there is too much baggage to measure. According GTSpirit, Koenigsegg plans to produce only 16-20 Agers each year and orders will start next week with shipments starting later in 2010.
